You have a good voice above average, you like the stage as a holistic experience and you enjoy working with other young people on the highest musical level? Then you are exactly the missing piece of the puzzle in the ensemble CHOREOS.

The CHOREOS Ensemble is composed of singers between 20 and 32 years old, who come together from all over Europe for the working phases. Under the direction of Stephan Lutermann (artistic director) and Lars Scheibner (choreographer), the works are realized in exclusive locations.

Casting

Please be prepared for the following tasks:

 

  • Excerpts in your vocal range from three different choral works are to be sung. Selection will be made by the CHOREOS team. Sheet music on request.
  • a choral piece of your choice is to be sung
  • a short scenic improvisation. The scene will be led by our choreographer Lars Scheibner.

From now on it is possible for you, if you live more than 300 km away from Berlin or Osnabrück, to participate in the casting via video. This is what you should keep in mind:

 

  • Your whole body should be visible
  • Briefly introduce us to your motivation for CHOREOS
  • Share your joy of singing with us
  • Please sing the excerpts from the three choral works mentioned at the beginning (sheet music will be sent upon request):

ESSENCE

With the new production "Essence," the ensemble CHOREOS embarks on a journey to the roots of our cultural existence. 16 exceptional performers and an extraordinary accordionist as an instrumental counterpart explore the pressing questions of our existence in eight scenes and pieces.

Dream (E)scapes

The theme of the new CHOREOS production is different worlds and states of consciousness as well as dreams. Associations and parallels to concepts such as day/night, dreams, nightmares, fears, hectic and calm are obvious and intentional.

CHOREOS Kids Project

17 young ballet students aged between 14 and 18 years rehearsed and worked enthusiastically for 6 months la in 2019. As with the adults, CHOREOS stands for singing and movement in a successful unity.
